Rosie Gunnell

I started my research on film posters by looking at other popular film posters on the web. By looking at them, i was able to create my own template of a poster, putting the common layouts together. I came up with this:


The template is split into sections including different bits of imformation about the film. The red section at the top of the template is the introduction of the names of the disrtibuters producing and releasing the film.


The green section is the main focus of any poster. This includes a picture to do with the film whether it is to include images of the characters starring in the film, the setting of the film, props/objects etc. The most comonly used picture is the picture of the characters in their costumes and make up.


The blue area usually includes the Title of the film, underneath the pictures of the characters.

The orange area then includes the names of the actors and actresses that star in the film.
