Website

I have been creating a website for the past few weeks and have nearly finished it. i have created a numerous amount of pages for the website with links. I have taken images from the internet in order to create my website and turned them into something I thought was suitable for the film. I took my images and put them into photoshop and changed them before importing them onto the website. I also created the links and the title of the website in photoshop and some in fireworks. These were the programmes I used in order to create my website. The website itself I created in a programme called Dreamweaver. Most of the links on my website are images made in photoshop or fireworks and then uploaded to Dreamweaver.

I also had many problems in making this website as unfortunately my USB corrupted and I lost quite a bit of my media project and had to start some again which was really frustrating. This meant that I had problems with Dreamweaver as I had different pages saved to different places which caused chaos for me, as I had them all over the place, therefore I had to keep starting again because when you opened the page and if for example the images were saved in a different place they would not show on the website. So eventually when I got my USB I made sure I had one folder with two folders inside named as "website pages" which were the actual pages on the site and an "website images" folder in which I saved all my images in, which were the links on the website, the title, and images. It was anything that I had to import onto the website.

I will show an original image that I took from the internet and turned it into my own using the programmes mentioned above. I will also show the links I created myself in theses programmes that are on the website.

Links On Website - These are the four main links on the home page.

Images On Website - These are the main images used on the website.

This was the original image. I go this image from:

This was after I changed it in Photoshop

This was the original image and I changed it in
Photoshop a couple of times. I got this image
from:

I then edited to this but it was to "in your face"
which is why I made it more transparent.

This was after I edited it, I made the image quite transparent as
you can see so you could still see it lightly in the background
but yet see the writing on top of it as well as the links.

  1. You should be congratulated for overcoming your problems Gina (and I expect there has been a steep learning curve for you). Your work as a group is developing really well, however, I am concerned that there is very little posted in terms of analysis of real posters or web homepages - remember that you need to be able to compare your own work to that of real media products and marketing campaigns - you can only do that if you have analysed them and summarised the main codes and conventions identified.
